Marites grew up immersed in a strong sense of community in a small town of Los Osos, California located along the Pacific coast of San Luis Obispo County. With the ambition to be active about people’s health, she studied to become a nurse practitioner. Aspirations of providing health-care needs to the public combined with an interest in business stemmed her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Cal Poly University. Assisting people in maintaining their financial health was a natural progression.

Previously working for Heritage Oaks Bank/Business First Bank, she provided a variety of services. These services ranged from assisting the Regional Manager manage eight branches, providing operational support, and building new client relationship in new accounts. The diverse job responsibilities provided the opportunity to make an impact on people’s financial health, as well as providing a great learning experience as it relates to personal finance.

Eager to continue her education, Marites is working towards becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Marites and her husband Josh lives in Arroyo Grande with four amazing 4-legged kids, two cats and two dogs. They have plans to relocate to the beautiful Santa Barbara area soon. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, photography, and cooking.
