The Walpole & CO., LLP team has returned home from the annual Sage Insights Conference in Nashville Tennessee. The conference was great and we are excited to share what we learned and the road ahead with Sage Software.

Sage Chief Technology Officer announced the testing and release of a true SQL version of MAS90/200.

MAS90/200 v4.4 (release scheduled for Q1 2010)
Customer number will be extended to 20 characters in addition to the two digit division.

Item number will be 30 characters

Inventory transactions will be increased to four decimal places matching Work Orders.

New Customizing Enhancements
Sage is adding scripting functionality to specific MAS events no longer requiring button pushing.

Automatically total detail numeric UDF's and create cumulative calculations on multiple records.

All VB scripting customizations will survive upgrades.


FRx to be Cut Short!
Expect FRx support to come to a stop in 2010. Sage has not announced a decision for a replacement product and did not mention working with any developers. However, we did visit the Biznet BizExelarator booth and it seemed to be a leading candidate for replacement.

• Order entry screens in CRM will be the Javx screens in MAS90/200 allowing for customizations in MAS90/200 to be added to the Javx screens.

Sage MAS90/200 2010 and Beyond
SQL seemed to be the topic of conversation for partners, customers & prospects. SQL would speed up reporting and allow easier access to data.
